Christmas Light Color Patterns for Your Home

Start with a whole-house color choice

Warm white gives the display a softer appearance; cool white creates a crisp look. All-blue and red, green, orange, blue and yellow presets provide other starting points. Apply a preset to compare a complete design without repainting every roofline bulb. In the preview, your bulb product, camera exposure and surrounding light affect the finished appearance.

Try repeating groups of three

Available grouped patterns include three cool white followed by three blue, three cool white followed by three red, and three warm white followed by three red. Repeated groups make color changes easy to compare across long gutters. A shorter section may end partway through a group, so check the end of each run in the preview.

Choose the peak color

Set a specific color for peak bulbs and use mirrored colors around peaks when you want matching sides. Individual bulbs can also be painted in the photograph. This makes a peak accent or a custom color arrangement part of the saved design instead of an instruction that can be lost in a message.

Compare roofline bulbs and minis

Mini-light options include warm white, cool white, candy cane, red, blue and green. You can give bushes or pillars a different treatment from the roofline. Review the complete house at night-preview brightness before sharing the design with an installer.
